The name basically says it all - Welcome to Big Lake Ranch. This sign was just put up in May 2011 and it was begging for a geocache to be placed nearby.
Big Lake is a small rural community about 30 minutes east of Williams Lake. There is a wonderful elementary school located just off the lake, a volunteer fire department and a beautiful community hall that is used for school events, community dances, church events, summer fairs, auctions as well as private rental for weddings and family reunions. There is parking off the main road just past the cache (a large pull-out that's big enough for RV's or truck and boat trailer).The cache is bigger than a "micro" but smaller than a "small". It will only hold small or narrow trade items - we tried to leave a Big Lake pin, but it's too narrow.
