A little known parking area in the center of town.
This area was bought by Stenpro, Formerly Steel and Engines, from teh Thompson Brother. They had a shipbuilding and repair business that stretched back many years. Before this, the area was known as the coal wharf, where ships would unload coal to heat peoples houses. The area dorectly adjacent to the cache was the former home of Hallet Collins. Hallet Collins was a very successful businessman and provateer. He was also the father of Enos Collins who at one time was the richest man in North America. He owned many businesses and privateers and had a bank in Halifax in what is now Collins Court, in Historic Properties.
Continuing on past the parking area is a very little known walking path that brings you out to Wentworth street.
