This series of caches is intended to be done on foot or
by bikes....not cars. The port authority has never had a
problem with geocachers let's keep it that way. These caches
are placed along a bike trail and there is no LEGAL parking at most
of the locations.
Barb and I have biked all over the port over the
years. And we have been wanting to place a series of caches
to be done via bikes. This seemed to be the perfect spot for
such a series. Now I know many of you are saying I don't have
a bike or I don't ride bikes. Well you can walk to these
caches as well. As stated there is no legal parking at many
of the cache locations so doing them by car will not be real
easy.
If you follow our numbers the series will take you on a
journey around Port Canaveral. We have placed 17 new caches
and have incorporated 3 others to round this series out to an even
20 caches. You can easily pick up another 8-10 caches
throughout the port while doing this series though if you have not
already found those caches. We start you near a boat ramp and
park where there is plenty of legal parking and the beginning of
the paved bike trail. Follow the numbers not what is closest
and we will take you on a journey around the port in a logical way
so you are not backtracking too much. You will backtrack in a
couple of places. The entire series in located on a paved
trail. Most of the caches are within only a few feet from the
trail so there is no real bushwhacking or difficult ones. We
want everyone to have fun and get some exercise.
This series is about 5 miles in total distance if you
follow our numbers. We hope you enjoy them. There is a
variety of micros to regular containers. Several new styles
of hides are on this series. Please use stealth and be
respective of your surroundings. Most of all, go out and have
fun finding these caches. Thanks for choosing our caches to
find and enjoy!! You are looking for a spice jar type
container with screw top lid.
While in the area be sure
