The Sand pyramids, or Pjescane piramide, as locals call them,
are unique natural shapes created by erosion. The combination of
summer heat, winter frost, rain and wind created a rarely seen
geomorfological results.
The Sand pyramides are located not far from the main road from
Sarajevo to Montenegro. The old road from Miljevina to Foca leads
to the place. The road is paved only partially, so with SUV it is
nearly a drive in. You can drive the road even with a "normal" car
but you have to drive carefully. If you leave your car at the and
of the paved road you have to go on foot approximately 2,5km.
The whole detour to the cache by car should take you not more
than an hour including taking some nice pictures.
Here are some pictures from the cache location.
