The usual Metacomet Trail conditions, rocks, roots, mud, ticks, snakes, falloffs, ups and downs, some steep.
This is a series of 5 caches that will lead you to the Traiffville Gorge overlook of the Farmington River.
You can park at the south end of the Metacomet Trailhead near the bridge on route 189 and do the series in reverse. We did it this way when double checking cache readings. You will see a well traveled trail going up the bank near the sign for the Metacomet Trail but the blue blazed trail follows the guard rail down to the river. The trail here is poorly marked, washed out in places and overgrown with POISON IVY
