Geocache Description:

LAT Staburags bija apmēram 18,5 metrus augsts saldūdens kaļķiežu klints Daugavas ielejas kreisajā krastā, dolomītu kraujas malā. Staburags veidojies, šķīdinot Daugavas krastu dolomīta klintis un veidojot avotkaļķa masīvu gar ūdenskrituma ceļu. Rezultātā Staburaga avots veidoja klints pārkares, kas ik pa laikam no sava svara nogruva. No zemes lauzās ledusauksts ūdens. Pirms appludināšanas Staburags bija viens no izcilākajiem Latvijas dabas pieminekļiem..

Šoreiz lieta grozās ap citu "Staburagu"

ENG Staburags was unusual 18,5 m high cliff shaped and formed by lime rich springs, which still were falling over this cliff as 18,5 m high waterfall. Staburags and its close vicinities were also a habitat for many rare plants including relicts of postglacial time. It was flooded by Plavinas hydropowerplant in 1967 - 1968. Before the flooding Staburags was one of the most outstanding Latvian nature monuments.

This time things revolves around the other "Staburags"

In Jelgava District, Livberzes parish at the small Aizupes elementary school territory is a fountain with this exact name "Staburags"

Go and find out what lies there.
