Corn Tossing Traditional Cache

This started off as another historical perspective of the area but turned into corn tossing. Everything you need is here to sign log and to do some trading.
I had just dropped Mrs. Pirate off at the local travel destination stop for her Pilferage trip to lands unknown and I was in the mood for placing a cache. My Pirate map took me to this location knowing nothing was within some .3 mile. I was scouting out a spot below a fence line some 250 feet south of this location. While looking behind the fence I started to get bombed! I was not sure at first what the loud thud was. I started to walk toward the noise then another hit the ground in front of me and that is when I saw corn cobs! startled, I stepped back and allowed 5 more to hit the ground in front of me. Once they stopped falling from the sky I stayed in one spot for awhile just in case they were aiming at me. I heard no words but just the sliding door shut at the apartment on the top floor.
This cache is not at that location.
Can you guess why they throw corn cobs out the back door?

You can drive to 40 feet of the cache but it is sandy and you could get stuck, I cleared the road out if you want to anyway.
