Geocache Description:

Mt Pisa Road off the State Highway 6 (Cromwell-Luggate Highway)

This should be a nice easy find but will you get to sign the log?

Off road parking is available very close to the cache site.

While you are there note the ancient grey-green twiggy shrubs that are remnants of the original Central Otago vegetation. The prickly one is Matagouri while the huge trunks belong to Olearia virgata.

The cache site is a memorial to countless innocent creatures that became a hawk, falcon,or seagull's meal.

Should you decide to continue up Mt Pisa Road you will be rewarded with extensive views up and down Lake Dunstan and across to Bendigo and beyond.
