[FIN] Helppo peruskätkö Kuusisaaressa.
[ENG] An easy basic cache in Kuusisaari.

[FIN] Jo vuosikymmenien ajan Kuusisaari on ollut monenlaisten huvitusten näyttämönä. Kuusisaaren paviljonki avattiin tansseille vuonna 1956. Myöhemmin, vuosina 1973-1991, saaressa järjestettiin Kuusrock. 1990-luvulla tanssipaviljonki pääsi ränsistymään ja hiljentymään, kunnes vuodesta 2003 lähtien siellä on järjestetty joka vuosi Qstock sekä nykyisin myös muita pienempiä tapahtumia ja festareita. Vuonna 2011 säännöllinen tanssitoiminta elvytettiin Hietasaaren Tanssimajakan tuhouduttua tulipalossa. Tanssit jatkuvat syyskuuhun 2011 asti, mutta sen jälkeen jatkosta ei ole vielä tietoa.

Kuusisaareen on välillä kaavailtu isompaa huvituskeskittymää ja ympärivuotista käyttöä, mutta tällä hetkellä suunnitelmien polttopiste lienee siirtynyt Hietasaaren huvikeskuksen kehittämiseen.

HUOM! Kätkössä ei ole kynää ja huomioithan, että kätkö sijaitsee hyvin jästivilkkaalla paikalla. Hae ja palauta siis kätkö maltilla => laita se SAMAAN PAIKKAAN mistä otit! Kiitos :)

[ENG] For decades Kuusisaari has been the place to go if you want to have fun in Oulu. Different kinds of activities have taken place there. The pavilion of Kuusisaari was opened for dancing in 1956. During the years 1973 to 1991 Kuusrock was held on the island of Kuusisaari. In the 90's the dancing pavilion got into poor condition and the activities there stopped. That was only until 2003 as Qstock was held for the first time - and has been organised every year since then. Today also some smaller events and festivals take place in Kuusisaari. In 2011 the regular dancing activities started again after the Hietasaaren Tanssimajakka burned down. Dancing in Kuusisaari will continue
until September 2011 but after that the future is a mystery.

Occasionally some bigger scale entertainment activities have been planned into Kuusisaari but at the moment it seems that the focus has moved into developing the Hietasaari area instead.

NOTICE! The cache doesn't include a pen. Please note that the location has a high risk of mugglers. So some time migth be needed for getting and returning the cache INTO THE SAME PLACE as where it is taken from. Thank you :)
