Geocache Description:

One of a large UK-wide series of caches designed to break up a boring motorway journey.

Junction 34 of the M4 was opened in 1977, linking the towns of Llantrisant and Talbot Green (and further north, the Rhondda Valleys) to the motorway network.

Immediately to the South of the junction is the large Bosch factory which was was unfortunately put up for sale earlier this year and is due to finally close the month this cache was placed.

A couple of miles North of the junction is the aforementioned Talbot Green which is quickly becoming a thriving retail area with several large outlets and recently announced plans to create a new large town in the area along with a cinema and another giant supermarket.

The ancient historic town of Llantrisant, home of the Royal Mint lies only a mile from Talbot Green perched on it's glacial hill topped with a disused windmill.

To the northwest is the large Scout Campsite of Miskin Mill, in use by the Scouting movement since 1929. On a personal note, Mr.Rollwrong attended (and passed) Pioneering training here back in the day and Mrs.Rollwrong assisted with her local pack on a visit here more recently...

On to the cache! The main roads get rather busy around this junction at peak times during the week and this cache is best not attempted during the morning and evening rush hours (unless time is no object).

We estimate that given optimum road conditions, the journey to the cache will take 2 minutes and the return to the motorway should take roughly the same amount of time. How long the cache will take to find is of course up to individual abilities, but it's not rated 1 for difficulty for no reason...

A small plastic container with room for swaps, you should have no real trouble finding this one whatsoever, but if stuck and keen to continue your journey, the hint is quite specific.

There are two ways of heading for the cache by car from the M4, but only one way of leaving it. A little cryptic maybe, but a bit of forward planning and the cache title may help....

There is (careful) parking for one vehicle at the entrance to a wide lane near to GZ.

One note of caution - This seemingly quiet lane can become relatively busy at times. Whilst placing the cache, about ten vechicles travelled down it at varying speeds, so please watch any little cachers!

Congratulations to GLASFORY for being the FTF!! :-)
