How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

The cache is not located at the posted coordinates.

By drawing straight lines on the following grid using the dots as the endpoints, how many different squares can we draw?

Viewing the above grid as points on a Cartesian grid:

  • The dot on the bottom left corner of the grid is (0,0).
  • The dot on the upper right corner of the grid is (5,4).

Two squares are considered different if they use different sets of dots as their corners.

Call the solution X. Divide X by 1000 and add it to both North and West coordinates to find the actual cache location.

Note: The cache is in a public area that might be crowded at times. This cache is not available after sunset. Please use stealth.

Congrats to Beege49 & crosspa for being FTF, and NOGPS! closely after.
