Chilli Monsters: Drove past yesterday and no sign of the cache (no pun intended), so will archive now as have replaced twice, and there seems to be on-going work happening nearby.

Geocache Description:

A quick 'Cache and Dash'. There is space for car parking. You will be looking for small bison-type tube. Location wheelchair accessible, possibly, but would need assistance retrieving the cache.

One feature, peculiar to Dorsets road's, are the four red fingerposts that intrigue and baffle motorists. Many believe them to mark the sites of gibbets but in actual fact they served as markers to guards escorting prisoners en route to Portsmouth docks bound for penal colonies. It is believed that it was an easier way for these guards, many of whom were illiterate, to know when to turn of South towards the Botany Bay Farm, their first nights rest before the long haul to Portsmouth and then the even longer journey to the real Botany Bay in Australia.
