The location of this cache is where my dad's favorite fishing spot used to be (until the water got too high). He caught so many different types of trout, that he called it the aquarium. Every time he would go fishing here he would see a tree with 4 big notches in it and a rope hanging at the top. He assumes it is for kids (in the summer) to climb up and swing off the rope into the river. Whenever I go there, I think of all the fun memories the kids must have had there. That is why I thought it would be the perfect place for a cache. This cache is not on private property (if you stay on the road and path.) And it is easy to get to using your GPS and these directions.:
Get off highway 3 BEFORE YOU GO UP TO SCOTT MT. on a paved road called IP 17.
FOR 4 WHEEL DRIVE:
Drive for about 0.6 miles until the road turns to dirt and continue until you see a campsite on your right.
FOR NON-4 WHEEL DRIVE:
Drive for 0.6 miles then you may want to try the dirt/rocky road but if not it is about a 5 minute walk to a campsite you will see on your right.
FOR ALL:
When at the sight follow GPS until you see a tree with notches and a rope. (The clue will help you find the rest). Good Luck!
