Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coordinates. This cache will direct you to the locations of two famous Vincennes residents before taking you to the cache location.

At the posted coordinates, you will find the grave of a famous man who helped George Rogers Clark's men capture Fort Sackville. There is a ten-ton statue of him located on the banks of the Wabash River here in town.

From his grave, set your compass to 335 degrees, and move approximately 178 feet.

You will then be at the ornate grave of a man responsible for an Indiana first--something that is often cloaked in mystery. What he's responsible for is located at 5th and Broadway streets in Vincennes.

From his grave, set your compass to 97 degrees, and move approximately 407 feet to a quiet, shaded spot in the back of Greenlawn Cemetary where you will find the cache.

This cache was placed using a Garmin GPSmap 62st.
