Near an emigrant marker that seems to be forgotten in recent publications of trail markers. Difficulty factor because of potentially difficult to find access. FTF leather, etc.
Access is off a pipeline road or a canal road onto an old road that stretches from near a bridge crossing the Humboldt River to old Humboldt Station. Access crosses an early emigrant trail that is untravelled and yet interesting because of it's primitive appearance. In a bush across from the marker-blends in.
The pipeline road is the smoother access. There is also a railroad crossing near the trees between Humboldt House and Imlay that accesses the pipeline road which can be accessed from the west bound freeway.
