4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

The land you see around you is part of the property settled by the Forrest family, Sir John Forrest went on to be Western Australias first premier in 1890.

This little bridge and creek are what remains of what once was a large waterway. If you look across the low lying land towards the coast you can see how wide it was.

Several rivers including the Vasse, Capel, Sabina, Preston and Abba flowed into this waterway before flowing into the sea at Wannerup about 4kms South of here.

The river met it's demise when the early farming pioneers dug a diversion into the sea at Peppermint Grove Beach, 4 kms North of here and is now known as the Capel Cut.
