This is the continuation of a series for, regrettably, the growing list of fallen heroes in the War on Terror from the Greater Los Angeles area.
There is a nearby picnic table, so you can bring along a picnic snack as you may want to stay around to enjoy the scenery, people and dogs. Maybe take a moment to browse the contents of the cache. What were you doing when you were in your 20s? I was in college and working PT at an ice rink in Santa Monica.
This is just outside a very nice dog park, so bring Spot along for this one!
About the location: The area is lit at night, and you will be in plain sight. However, this cache would be a wonderful night snatch (in fact, highly recommended) when the sky is clear and the moon is high, unlike the night I placed this ("June Gloom" to the max!) The LMU Library is at the top of the hill behind the cache location, and is a very pretty sight at night.
The area is handicap accessible, with grabbing assistance needed. It is an easy find, especially for a magnetic cache. BYOP
The area is patrolled by private neighborhood security on bikes.
Thanks for searching! Enjoy my stashed cache!
