Geocache Description:

This pirate themed cache is of the sort that my sons love the most. It's both easy enough for the geojuniors to find and has room for buried treasure!

Everyone I know who has kids seems to call geocaching "treasure hunting", so with a cache in a park with a name like Scullin Park, what did you expect?

Scullin Park has been a long time favourite in our family ever since we've had kids. There's two reasons for this; it's REALLY close to us, and it has been squarely aimed at younger (1.5 - 10 yrs) kids.

Now, to make this fun with the geoniors, you can approach this a number of ways.... you could read them the letter to Jonny from Cap'n Crawler, or you could just show them the pirate map.
It's your choice!

BEWARE - I've had reports that a gang of PIRATES have been frequenting this park. On top of that, I found a scrap of paper down there with the following scrawls.

Jonny,
Blunderin' Billy has lost the blinkin' map! Keel haul 'im!

There be treasure buried in this 'ere park!
We need a new map. Lucky, I 'member for how to get to it.
To find it, draw a line 'tween the centre of the giant web and the left wobble anchor chain. Where this crosses the line with the edges of the benches, you'll find y'ur X to log!

Signed,
Cap'n Crawler.

Please replace the 2 litre systema treasure chest as it was found, and camouflage appropriatly.

This place can be crawling with muggle pugs at times, so stealth essential!

The following scrap of burnt paper has been consequently found, and may help. Treasure map
