11.11.11 - Another one of those special dates, so we have decided to make it a weekend camp out.
Come celebrate 11.11.11 with us up at Thomas Hill. This special date we have decided to "Remember" all the great caches that are in our great state. We will be taking nominations for your favourite geocaches.
We'll be adding a list to the pages here and the nominations will be gathered from mid September, so there is lots of thinking time to work out what your favourite geocache hides/placements may be.
More info will be added around mid September, there is plenty of camp room, and the old Ranger Station has 3 bunk rooms with 6 beds per room. First in best dressed, on the bunk rooms, you'll need to share, so maybe elect a group and nominate if you are all happt to share, the rooms have bunk beds, and out door camping will be tents and swags. Please contact us mid September via the event page. Saturday we will hold a bring and share pot luck dinner, details to follow.
There will be a special token for all attending to Remember the event, and we'll be collecting a small donation from campers to assist with the hire of the camp.

REMEMBER
We ask every one to send us an email via our profile with a note letting us know your favorite geocache, what pops right into your memory when talking about geocaching. We'd like to keep one category to SA geocaches, one for any where, and one for your favourite geocache hider. We have some special bits and bobs we bought back from the USA for this part of the game.
we will also have the special 11.11.11 edition path tag only available at the event, we have to say we have them in hand and they look great.

You will require a gate code to gain access - please let us know if you are coming so we can give you the code when we receive it (during the week prior). If you give us your phone number, we will sms the codes to you so you have them on your phone, otherwise you will be notified via email.
from 6ish onwards, for the weekend for campers, day/evening tripping to join in the fun.
ACCOMMODATION
Option 1 - there's plenty of camping room surrounding the house for whatever style of camping you wish to use - free
Option 2 - limited bunk bed accommodation is available @ $10 for the weekend (to partially help cover the costs) - please let us know ASAP if you wish to book a bunk bed, as there'll be no guarantee that any will still be available when you get there, we have some bunk nominations, can everyone re-confirm requirements, yeah we know you already told us, but Gayle is having a mentle blank, and hunting down emails from several months ago is ..... ask her later material.
We are collecting tags for the OZ Mega Event - GC2Q4JF - if you have any to bolster the SA donation let us know, we are looking for SA tags as a preference. We will also be collecting tags at the Christmas Picnic Event on December 4th
