Geocache Description:

Picture This - Ruislip Lido is a short picture quiz to enjoy whilst walking around the lido. We were inspired to do this cache after doing some similar Picture This caches in Bournemouth and Poole in Dorset.

The given location is for the (green) gated entrance to the Lido. There is a car park (gets busy on summer weekends) which as at June 2017 is £5 for any length of time, or free if you are eating/drinking at the pub or are a Hillingdon card holder, or bus H13 stops here.

The objects in the 10 pictures – A to K – are all to be found between the (green) entrance gate and Woody Bay station (both marked as waypoints); all are visible from the tarmac path, so there is no need to go off road unless you wish to.

Please note that they are NOT in any particular order - so you will need to keep your eyes peeled as you explore the area. The answers to the questions are either at the object itself or extremely close – please note that some of the photos are of only part of the whole object, so you may need to sharpen your powers of observation! When you find each location, answer its question and keep a note of the answer. After finding them all, work out the sums to find the hiding place. You can click here for a printable sheet showing all the photos, which you could take with you on the day.

The cache is a small black box, with room for small swaps/TBs. It contains a log book and pen.

Depending on where you are when you work out the final co-ordinates, GZ will be a 5-10 minute walk away. We would appreciate it if you could let us know in your on-line log how hard/easy you found this multi to be, and also how long it took you to complete.

At the lido there is a café, pub, children’s playground, miniature railway and children’s splash area (and a nice tarmaced circular walk around the whole lido) so you may wish to make a day of it.

Below are the 10 pictures ......
   A = How many uprights?
   B = How many tonnes?
   C = How many toes (total of both)?
   D = How many masts?
   E = How many horizontal slats?
   F = What is the surface temperature of this object? (in °C)
   G = Highest number?
   H = How many 'L's in the last line on the sign?
   J = How many letters above the clock?
   K = How many bolts on the front face?

YOU MIGHT WISH TO BRING A CALCULATOR!!

Final is at: N 51 3a.bcd W 000 2e.fgh

Where:
a = (F / C / D / K) – B – G – H
b = (B / H) – A
c = A – H – D
d = E - J - K
e = B – (G x H)
f = E – A– G
g = (E + G) / K
h = C – H – J

Check sum: the total of all numbers (calculated or existing) in the final co-ordinates should equal 43.

FTF congratulations to Smithcox.
