Geocache Description:


Macsfield, Rural School was established from 1917 to 1948.Had a total of seventeen teachers in the time that it was in existance and was attended by many of the family names that still reside in the area.
As with all schools from this period, changes in education as well as farming practises had a major impact on enrolment numbers and this led to the final closure of this school.
