Geocache Description:

The online encyclopedia Wikipedia defines a railfan as "a person who is strongly interested, in an amateur capacity, in railroads. Railfans can be found worldwide."

Along the rails of North America, stretching from one coast to another, you will see people standing beside the tracks enjoying the splendor of trains. Whether it is a freight train, a passenger train or an excursion train, little parallels the adrenaline rush caused by a train barreling past at 60 mph.

This cache is a two stage multi that will bring you to a location where you can do a little railfanning or trainspotting yourself. The first stage is above the tracks, located on a pedestrian bridge and you do not have to walk along the tracks at anytime to find this cache.

The posted coordinates ARE NOT for the first stage but are the suggested parking location however you can also park at the south GO station parking lot if this is more convenient to you. This location will be extremely busy during the day, Monday through Friday. Weekends and evenings would be better to look for this cache.

Stage 1 - Proceed to N43° 51.883 W78° 56.159 where you will find a plaque fixed to the bridge. Take the sum of the numbers of year the bridge was built and add this number to the following North coordinate N 43 51.842 Next take the digital root of the same number you got above and add this to the following west coordinate W 78 56.212

Stage 2 - Look for re-direct coordinates for the final cache. This location can be very busy and EXTREME stealth will be necessary.
