Slovensko:
Zacetki Jarenine segajo v zgodnji srednji vek. Njeni prvi znani lastniki so bili ob koncu 10. in v zacetku 11. stoletja grofje Breže-Seliški.
Matrike segajo do leta 1648. Ob cesti blizu Jarenine stoji jubilejni spomenik Svetega leta 1826.

The starts of Jarenina go back to the Middle Ages. Its first known owners at the turn of the 10th century were the Counts of Breže-Seliški. In the second part of the 11th century, their lands came to the ownership of the Admont Monastery that acquired the first vineyards in the vicinity as early as 1074. The first records of the settlement and the church date back to 1139, which means that in 2004, Jarenina will celebrate the 865th anniversary of the first reference to it. The name comes from the word "jarkovina" (German "Jaring") and denotes grubbed or trench-ploughed land. After 1074, the Admont Monastery increased its property and managed to keep it until the late 1945. It was managed from their castle - Jareninski dvor on the hill Policki Vrh.
The original Romanesque Church of The Assumption was built some time before 1135 by a nobleman Rudolf WITTENSZWALD, who took part in the 1131-1133 attack on the Bishop of Krško, HILDEBOLD. As a gift of reconciliation, he gave the church and all of his property to the Archbishop of Salzburg, who, in turn, gave it to the Admont Monastery. The first reference to the church as a parish church is from 1160. Jarenina was one of the oldest parishes and played an important role in the region of Slovenske gorice. The nave of the present church is still partly Romanesque, but most of the church belongs the late Gothic period, because the church was burned down by Ottoman raiders in 1532. The late Gothic bell tower with the original stone roof is unique in Slovenia. The church register dates back to 1648. Alongside the church that was once surrounded by a cemetery, there is a round charnel house, St. Michael's, with an apse, which has two baroque vaults and wall ruptures, and is located in the outer walls from the 12th century. At the roadside, near Jarenina, there is a monument to the Holy Year 1826.
