Goodale Family Forest Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

maskvolk: Unfortunately the adjacent landowner had to declare No Tresspassing on some property that he will never use and prevent access to this cache site. It was a pretty hike, too bad. I had also cleared a trail from Chestnut street to the main trails and now that is inaccessible. I had also used this trail to XC ski from Raytheon in Marlboro to my home in Hudson, which was 7 miles but only required 1 mile of walking. It went through 10 different conservation areas - quite a feat.

Geocache Description:

Geocache hidden in Goodale Family Forest in Hudson. There is an entrance on Murphy Road near Crestview Drive and on Stow / Stoneybrook Road.

This was previously the Revenge of the Tape Measure cache, which required the finder to obtain three travel bugs. The travel bugs have routinely gone missing and are too difficult to maintain and therefore the cache has not seen much traffic. This is a nice conservation land and warrants more visits, so I have republished this as a traditional cache.
I had gotten into some of the rigamarole with this site with the cache gone missing, so I hike in with a new container, look for the old one, can't find it, so I place the new container. Within days (or was it the time it took me to hike back home) someone reports they find two containers. Then finders report one container, sometimes two, sometimes can't find it at all. So what do I do? I bring in a third container!! And can I find (the Cache Owner) either of the first two containers? No!!! So leave the third, and within days (or was it the time it took me to hike back home) someone reports they found three containers! So please feel free to report how many containers you find - zero, one, two or three. Or lie and say four, see if I care, I'm not going to check. Sign any one.
