In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.
It had a perfectly round door like a porthole...
So begins chapter 1 of The Hobbit.
And every time I pass through Bagthorpe I am reminded of the book, both by the name and the location.
Long may the village remain!
You are seeking a 7 inch long tube.
I have tried to place this in a spot where you are not obviously overlooked, but in your own interests, please don't go looking in the dark with a torch. The neighbours will definitely smell a rat!
Its an easy find in the daylight, as you casually walk past.
