Short walk to the cache which is near the big aluminium factory.
Ideal place to go to when you are going to the Keflavík airport.
Also nice to have some picnic with you and eat there. Not windy
there.
When you are driving on the Reykjanesbraut, turn to the sea when
you see the sign Straumur.
Straumur sign seen from the Reykjanesbraut (road 41). You can park
your car on the additional waypoint. There is about 40 meters from
the parking to the cach.
The cach is located close to this pound.
This is a nice place to walk around, and you can drive along this
road to the sea (about 0,8 kilometers from the parking space)
Be carefule when walking there, there might be small holes in the
lava you walk over. Please hide the cach well when you leave, and
do not place any food in the cach becouse of the animals.
Orginal contents: Logbook & pencil (non tradeable items), 5
krónur (icelandic coin), 1 króna (icelandic coin), 1 pence (british
coin) and Schildi the turtle (travel bug)
