Criffel View Traditional Cache

LongshotFore!: Due to ongoing problems with what is an excellent location for a micro cache I have decided that this particular cache will be archived. The cache is well hidden but has gone missing on three previous occasions, I suspect that others who pass by the point are aware of this location.

Sadly I will remove the cache.

Geocache Description:

This is a small micro-cache just situated off the Maidenbower Cycle path linking Georgetown to The Crichton site on the south side of Dumfries. The terrain is gently rising on a metalled cycle route and should be accessible by most. If travelling by car it is advisable to park in one of the many free car parks on the Crichton site.

Plenty of parking is available on the Crichton Site, follow signs for Dumfries and Galloway College, University of the West of Scotland (UWS) campus.

On a nice day the cache location offers a view of Criffel, a Dumfries and Solway Coast landmark. Views of the local countryside and the Solway Firth can also be seen.
