For as long as I can remember The Rats have had a love of the great outdoors. At any opportunity we love to get out and do some of our favourite pastimes. Whether it’s Camping, 4WDriving, Hiking, Rogaining, Abseiling, Caving, Canyoning or a combination of them all. We simply love an outdoor adventure.
In recent years our Geocaching adventures have had a heightened level of adrenalin attached to them and this is a side of geocaching that The Rats really love. So it was only natural that we wanted fellow geocachers to share in some of these Adrenalin Adventures.
The Rats have hidden a series of geocaches around the Illawarra that should have the adrenalin pumping through your veins. We acknowledge that this series of geocaches isn’t for everyone and each of them has a heightened level of risk associated with them. The Rats take no responsibility for your actions as you undertake these geocaches and you do so at your own risk.
Tree:
The Illawarra is flanked with large amounts of bushland, while this cache isn't hidden in the bush it does have an association with the bushland. To get this cache you’ll find yourself high above the ground. How you get to GZ and to the number contained within is up to you.
The cache is secured in situ and can't be removed so please take care when opening the cache. Be sure to give me a wave from GZ as I should be able see you from my home. Take note of the number contained within the lid of the container as this will help you find the final cache within this series.
