This cache has been archived.

brionfire: Never really happy with this one as it was one I inherited.

Never gets many finds and goes missing on a regular basis.

Bye bye!

Geocache Description:

A cache with a lovely view of the Quantocks - located a short distance north of Taunton.

Apples & pears - if you come at the right time of year, you'll see fruits of both varieties on trees adjoining the footpath.

This cache is a short and fairly level walk from the Staplegrove area of Taunton, along a tree-lined footpath between fields. It is fenced between the road and the cache site, so suitable for young children to walk, but it is a bit too bumpy for buggies.

There are usually plenty of birds around, and you may see wildlife such as foxes and buzzards if you're lucky.

It's part of one of my favourite local walks at any time of year, and there is a beautiful "surprise" view of the Quantocks which appears as you approach the cache location.

The cache is a small box, and contains the usual items; logbook, pencil and a variety of swaps - please remember to swap equal or higher, if you choose to take anything.

This cache is large enough for geocoins and most travel bugs, so please feel free to drop them.

Parking waypoint now added. Please be careful with any childern as there is no pavement betweeen the parking and the footpath, although it is only a short distance.

12/07/20 - Cache replaced as the kissing gate was changed. Hint updated.
