We are amateur genealogists as well as geocachers. Our research has taken us to many interesting cemeteries. We have enjoyed the cemetery caches put out by others and decided we would take you to cemeteries where some of our ancestors are buried. Because these cemeteries are connected to our own family tree we thought BRANCHES would be a fitting name for this series.
First Lutheran Cemetery, Logan Township
The congregation of the First Lutheran Church in Logan Township was formed in 1858 by the German immigrants who settled in the area. They met in a school house until a church was built in 1867. This church is also referred to as The Front Line Church. Many of the older tombstones in this cemetery are in German.
The cache is a micro.
