WOO HOO! THE BIKE BRIDGE IS OPEN!
We have been waiting for the local bike trail to go by our house for over a decade. Most important to us is a bike bridge over 85. While the Caped Cavy Crusader can fly over the freeway in her magic cape, we mere sidekicks must ride over El Camino Real and risk life and limb, not to mention no small amount of inconvenience to get to the established Mountain View bike path (Come on Sunnyvale, pick up the pace!). Thus have we been pining for this bike bridge. But no longer! At the time the cache was placed the sound wall had been opened up and cement piers poured. According to my chat with one of the workers, the path is scheduled to open late fall, though other estimates put it in 2012.
Well that ship has sailed! So it will definitely push into next year (as TeamOttlot noted). Hubby says he's seen estimates of April on Mr Roadshow. As long as it is in time for nice weather, I'm good!
The cache is a buffalo tube, but it is camouflaged in a second container. Be sure to put it back as you found it. There is ABSOLUTELY no need to look within the confines of shrubs. This cache is not in a bush.
