On the way from "Half Done" you may notice some smaller rings of
stone. These are the remains of bronze age huts. There are 156 hut
sites identified on Turlough Hill which indicates there was once a
significant settlement here.
As you approach the cache you will see the large Turlough Hill
Cairn. It measures 15m wide and 4.5m high. Because of its proximity
to the settlement, the cairn is undoubtly of ritual/ceremonial
importance but it is unclear if it is a burial cairn.
Please do not climb on the cairn or remove stones.
This cache is a PET preform container.
