A cache in the bush near Emu Heights
When I first decided to hide a geocache, I always thought hiding one in the bush. With little bush land near my home in Jamisontown, I started looking for bush land in nearby suburbs and somewhat unknown. This area of bush where this cache is hidden was an area I had never been to before and had never known was there. One weekend, I decided to go for a walk and in doing found a geocaching paradise with many caves and overhangs with a real sense of being far away somewhere in the Blue Mountains but being just close to the edge of suburbia near the Penrith area.
Cache info: This cache is in some rugged bush with some fallen trees and branches and many broken cliff lines. Low light in the late afternoons may make it difficult to see the cliff lines, so please do not leave it too late in the day to attempt. It can get dark quite quickly just after sunset. Please DO NOT attempt at night! Heights from these cliffs can be misleading and may trick the eye, so precede every step with caution and be very careful with your footing as these spots are a bit steep and can be slippery. Trails in this bush can be accessed from two locations. At the Gosling Street trail start, please use the walking trail behind the green rail fence, please do not pass through the gate with the "Private Property" sign. The trails will take you in the direction of GZ, but after that, you will need to have a bush bash to GZ. Please place the cache in the exact same spot when returning it to its hide. Good luck and happy caching.
