Krantzkloof Nature Reserve
This cache is located along a fabulous shady walk in the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve and is within 5 - 8 m of the trail.
Terrain is generally level-ish with a short hill after crossing the Molweni River - certainly suitable for children 5 years and older.
All along the trail you will hear forest birds such as Purplecrested Turaco and Blackcollared Barbet, as well as the Natal Robin-chat. The odd Hadeda Ibis may also be heard.
I have placed this cache as the Mpiti Waterfall cache is just a short stroll further along the trail and is fully deserving of more finds. Perhaps the placement of this one will encourage more visits to that cache (and more walks along the trails in this section of the Krantzkloof Nature Reserve).
Molweni River
Safe parking is available at the suggested co-ordinates. Note that a small admission fee is payable for entrance to the reserve. Holders of Wild / Rhino Cards obtain free entrance.
The cache is a small lock 'n lock container in a camo bag.
