Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the entrance to Hutton Wildlife Refuge. The road is hardpacked dirt for the first few miles, then the last 1/2 mile is a dirt track. Heavy rain can make both roads impassible to anything other than 4 wheel drive. There is a lot of cactus in the area so watch children and pets. In the summer, don't forget the skeeter spray!

Hutton Wildlife Refuge is a great place to have a picnic, wander about, take pictures, or just sit and read a book. The day we placed the cache we saw a fox, several antelope, ducks, pelicans, blackbirds, muskrat, hawks, gophers, and prairie dogs.

This cache was placed for the geobeagle who has been taunted and haunted by the high pitched chirp, squeak, and chatter of many a rodent. Nothing can set her off faster than a prairie dog, ground or tree squirrel, gopher, chipmunk, you name it, it has taunted her. I'm not sure what they're saying, but whatever it is, is sure gets her riled.
