rwlittle: Unfortunately between March 20 and the 22nd our cache "disappeared". This is the third time someone has stolen our cache.

I have spent the last few months contemplating whether to continue this cache here and have decided that I can no longer continue to keep replacing the cache. Unfortunately due to the cache not being replaced where found and hidden appropriately it continues to "disappear".

I apologize to anyone looking to explore the area, but it is a nice area to stretch your legs and also learn about the volcanic activity that created this natural wonder of the area. I will continue to visit this rest area along I-15 upon my visits to Idaho to see family, but will no longer be replacing the cache. For this reason I am archiving this cache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at a rest area on Route I-15. The terrain is not level but you can walk a sidewalk (trail) to the cache. It should not be hard to spot once you get close. You do not even need to leave the sidewalk. PLEASE PLACE THE CAN BACK WHERE IT WAS, AS IT DISAPPEARED AND WAS REPLACED RECENTLY BECAUSE IT WAS LEFT OUT. IF NECESSARY USE THE HINT TO LOCATE WHERE THE CAN WAS ORIGINALLY PLACED. THANK YOU.

This is our first attempt at placing a cache. It is an ammo box filled with various items: toy watches, cars, silly bands, flashlight, carabeaners, stickers, pencils, calculator clip, & geocache information business type cards. We tried to keep it out of site so that it would not be muggled easily, but while looking through the cache you may want to be careful not to be spotted. Please place back so that it is not easily vandalized. We tried to place things inside for all ages appropriate. The name comes from the fact that I come from Pennsylvania and my grandchildren are here in Idaho. We are often visiting this rest area for pictures and geocaching. That is why we picked this area. We plan on placing items inside that we want to head back towards PA.
