Geocache Description:

This can be a busy place, when it's open! You are welcome to park in the parking lot, but watch for muggles. Great quick & easy theme cache for kids and dragonfly lovers.

My Kindergarten class has created and placed this theme cache, as part of their "Earth Day, Everyday" unit. They learned about the importance of respecting our Earth, how to plant seeds and what they need to survive, how we can reduce, reuse, recycle, and they sang a song called "No More Trash' for Kindergarten Graduation. I thought it would be fitting to squeeze in a Geocaching project at the end of the school year!

On our last day of school, my students practiced finding treasure boxes all around our school property and collected small trade items to take home, in hopes that their families might choose to begin geocaching. (some of my students are already active members) We then walked from our school to hide this container in its present location.

Since I love dragonflies, each of the students made a dragonfly magnet to place in the cache for trading. Please trade dragonfly items only, when taking a magnet. (The dollar store on the Main street sells stickers and small decorations in the scrapbook aisle, if you can't find anything suitable to trade.)

I hope you enjoy the efforts of these 4-6 year olds. They've included a Travel Bug and Geocoin too! I had such fun planning this out and involving the kids!
