Geocache Description:

This geocache was placed with permission from Pioneer Park. The hiking trail is open year round and is groomed in the winter for snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
No fee is required to use the hiking trail, but there is a fee if you decide to tour the park.
Feel free to park in the lot at Pioneer Park. I met a few of the park staff and they request that if they are there - to please check in. They are very friendly and like the idea of the geocache in the park - but like to know who is using the trail.
BRING BUG REPELLENT

To reach the rank of Eagle Scout, the scout must achieve 21 Merit Badges and complete an extensive service project that he must plan, organize, lead and manage. On average, each Scout conducts about 167 service hours towards the project.

The site of this Eagle Project, completed by an Eagle Scout from Annandale Troop 354, is located along a hiking trail in Pioneer Park. The project consisted of a bench and sign at the trailhead and end of trail, signs along the trail identifying trees (see additional waypoints), and grooming the trail with fiber mat and wood chips.
This is the 12th and last in a series highlighting Eagle Projects completed within the Crow River District.
Each of the twelve "Cache to Eagle" series caches have a designated code word associated with the cache. The code word will be within the cache (such as written on the logbook or taped to the lid). The code word is one of the twelve points of the Scout Law.

The first 3 Scouts who find all twelve "Cache to Eagle" caches, and emails a listing of all the codewords and associated Cache Numbers to me will receive a "Cache to Eagle" Scout patch.

CONGRATULATIONS TO RACETTES! THEY WERE THE FIRST TO COMPLETE THE SERIES AND WON THE CACHE TO EAGLE GEOCOIN
