Geocache Description:

This road has been improved so much in recent years. Imagine what it must been like for the wagon drivers whipping their horses or bullocks over the top in the pre combustion engine days.

This cache is placed as a tribute to those wagoners of yore, some of whom must surely have come from Yorkshire and muttered "that's summat, that is".

We must also praise the roading engineers for making this stretch the easy drive it is today. "Summat" will not be part of their vocabularies but they certainly use the word "Summit"

The Big Hill tunnel that was part of the Roxburgh Branch Railway Line is not all that far from being under where you are standing when you retrieve this cache.
