I found this cemetery when I was in the area doing the Sand Dune in a Forest Earthcache down the road. This area must have had a lot more residents in the 1800s than now. There are many graves dating back to the early 1800s. There are also many stones that are barely recognizable as graves. Take your time to look around.
In trying to find out the name of the cemetery, I found that there is an extensive database of Saratoga County cemeteries, their locations and lists of occupants with dates and sometimes biographical information--a treasure trove for those researching their Saratoga County roots. Too bad mine aren't here!
The cache has not been placed on any of the graves. As always, be respectful when searching. Please replace the container carefully in the same manner in which it was found!
