Geocache Description:

Terrain is flat and cache is between small and medium.



Nicholas Sparks, bestselling author of "The Notebook" wrote "The Last Song" in 2009. That summer, a movie adaptation was filmed on Tybee Island and in 2010 it was released. It starred Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, Kelly Preston and Greg Kinnear.


In one scene in the movie, there was a church fire. This cache is located on the property where this church was built. After being used in the movie and nearly burnt to the ground for filming, it was rebuilt and is now used as a wedding chapel elsewhere on the island.

After visiting our cache and signing the log, you might want to consider finding the location of the chapel.

UPDATE: Ironically, Miley Cyrus just got engaged... to Liam Hemsworth (they met filming The Last Song on Tybee!).

Maybe they'll chose the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel for their vows.

Please leave only your footprints on the property, as we have gotten special permission from the land owner to place the cache here.

Please make sure to replace the container in the same place and hide it well.
