Monkey Training Exercise Level 7 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings Chukhed,

Please accept my apologies. I should have never published this cache since it is within 150 feet of active railroad tracks. It is a federal offense to place an object like a Geocache near an active rail line. In the past, a geocacher was arrested, jailed, had to go to court and pay a large fine for placing a cache near an active railroad line. The local bomb squad destroyed his cache.

Please remove this cache as soon as possible. I am truly sorry for not catching this early on in the review process.

Thanks,

Geocache Description:

Placed with permission from the Weantinoge Heritage, Inc. Parking and trailhead can be found at:
N41 53.868 W073 21.527. Terrain is raised for the climb, actual is about a 2.

Known in the old deeds as Russell Pratt Meadows, this new preserve is no longer a meadow. White pines
and other trees have grown rapidly in the deep sandy soil fed by capillary moisture from the Housatonic
River as well as springs fed by the state forest slopes to the east. Botanical evidence of it having
recently been a meadow resides in the few remaining non-treed spots of a meadow species found in only
one other place in New England.

While no formal trails exsist, a trail of use follows the path where the previous owner had made
a driveway before deciding to build elsewhere, so pay no heed to those signs. It is now most often
used by people fishing. Along the banks one may {in spring and fall} see mergansers, ospreys, and even eagles.

The preserve is named after Weantinoge's first land manager, the late Warren Koehler, who volunteered
hundreds of hours on other preserves.

Now onto the cache..

I love vines, I love trees, I am MONKEY!
Monkey is annoyed with of all the micro's in the woods that are so hard to find even the owner has
problems relocating them! These training exercises were created to bring some fun back into the hunt.
The cache is located not far from the trail.

Premium members only for the first week. This is the first time using a small lock-n-lock for the series,
and it comes with logbook, pencil, and small items. As for the climb? Balance and upper body strength required.

Disclaimer:
Not for the physically handicapped, these caches can be dangerous. Please use caution in retrieving.
Cache can be obtained by adults that are not extremely overweight or daring children that can climb!
Vines have been tested well, but there is always a chance they may break or come loose, {The fall
wouldnt kill you, but you could get hurt} so use common sense! Monkey cannot be held responsible
for any injuries you might endure during your training.
