Walk Around The Gardens Sadly as I am quickly approaching the age of 80 I am no longer able to get to the caches as I used to, so walk around the gardens is now reduced from four to one. I hope to be able to reach poo corner for a little while longer but I would like to thank you for all your support and the favourite points given to the caches.Many thanks uglybug. A series of four[now only one] caches placed on a public foot path running between the two Gardens, Buckminster and Walton. It is best to start from the Buckminster Gardens end, although it can be started from Walton Gardens if wished. Apart from the first cache the walk is not really suitable for wheelchairs as it involves narrow paths and a flight of steps, Walton Gardens was built about 1933 to house the workers at the new engineering works moving from Kent to Grantham. Buckminster Gardens was also built to house workers, but this time for the armaments factory, built in 1938. The first cache is on the part of the path used by dog walkers,so can get a little messy at times, hence the name. It's easy to reach and accessible to all, though it can get overgrown Wheel chairs and buggies watch your wheels,the rest just tread carefully. The cache is a micro, smaller than a film cannister, with just a log, so please bring your own pen. There is plenty of room to park on Buck minster Gardens or Kedlestone Road, About a hundred yards.
