1799: Leopold Bleibtreu wird Berginspektor am Virneberg. Er sorgt für neue Ordnung und erlässt neue Betriebsvorschriften.
Die Familie Bleibtreu zieht sich im 2.Jahrzehnt des 19. Jahrhunderts aus dem Rheinbreitbach zurück und verlagert ihre Aktivitäten nach Oberkassel, wo sie u.a. am Ennert Braunkohle abbauen.
