[LV] Alauksta videejais dziljums ir 3.3 metri, maksimaalais - 7 metri. Ezeraa ir divas salas - Lielaa sala (0,8 ha) un Mazaa sala (ari Vidsniedre) (0,76 ha). Agraakaa izteka Gaujinja ir aizseereejusi, un tagad no ezera iztek Silakroga graavis, kas izveidots 19. gadsimta kaa graavis uz Tauna ezeru. Eitrofs, ezeraa ieverojamaa daudzumaa ir potenciaali toksiskas zilaljgjes.
Sleepnis - fotofilmiņas konteiners ar logbook + zemē ierakta 0.2 l stikla burcina - satur: logbuku, 3 kraasainos ziimuljus (zils, zaljsh, oranzjs), ziimulju asinaamo, kopeejo A4 sleepnjotaaju ziimeejumu un paaris GC atradeejiem. koordinaates nav superpreciizas, paljauties uz hintu!
Ja jums nav savas laivas, varu ieteikt kempingu “Niedriites", kur pashi arii palikaam. Tur arii laivas. Uz ezera ar airu laivu jaareekjinaas vismaz ar 3 stundaam.

[ENG] The average depth of Lake Alauksts is 3.3 metres, the maximum – 7 metres. Lake Alauksts has two islands – The Big Island (0.8 ha) and The Small Island (also Vidsniedre) (0.76 ha). The former effluent Gaujina has silted; however, nowadays Lake Alauksts has an effluent Silakroga ditch that was shaped as the ditch to Lake Tauna on 19th century. A considerable amount of potentially toxic blue algaes are in the lake.
The cache ( a 0.2 litre jar in a pouch) contains a logbook, three color pencils (blue, green, orange), pencil sharpener, total A4 geocachers drawing and some GC's. coordiantes are not super-precise. rely on hint!
In case you do not have a boat yourself, there is a possibility to hire a rowing-boat in camping “Niedrites”, which is the nearest place. We did it ourselves. It will take approximately 3 hours to find both caches and manage the distance between the islands and land.
Rainboots are recommended!!
PS. For the first geocatchers – if possible, please take some packets against humidity and place them in the caches. Thank you!
