Geocache Description:

Borojevicev stol in spomenik kažipot - poti miru na krasu 1915-1917 / Borojevic's throne and memorial signposts - the paths of peace in karst 1915-1917

SLO:

Postavili so ga pripadniki pehotnega polka št. 43. - K.u.k.

Pot vodi skozi vas Lokvica vse do spomenika (makadam cca 1,5km).
V bližnji okolici je vec informativnih tabel z oznacenimi potmi.

Paths of peace in the Karst 1915 / 1917

Borojevic's throne (Karl's - Borojevic's stone chair) is named after commander of the fifth Austro-Hungarian army Svetozar Borojevic von Bojna. The chair should be devoted to Emperor Karl, who came to the inspection of the units stationed there.
On the right side of the throne a surname Pristan is carved, which is probably the surname of a person who made it.

Austria-Hungary monument-signpost was built in honor of commander VII. Austro- Hungarian corps Archduke Joseph, and had signpost function, it indicates the distance to Lokvica and Kostanjevica. The monument was built by the members of the infantry regiment No. 43rd (K.u.k. Kronprinz Rupprecht von Infanterieregiment Bayern Nr.43).
Members of the regiment also built the road which was named "Erzherzog JOSEPH STRASSE" (Archduke Joseph Street).

On the back there is the inscription ERBAUT VOM K.u.K. IR 43 (built by the 43rd Infantry Regiment). Integral part of the monument are grenades that are placed at all corners and at the top of the monument.

The path leads through the village Lokvica up to the monument (macadam road about 1.5 km).
Nearby there are several information boards with marked trails.
