Geocache Description:

Maryland Route 42 is also known as the Friendsville Road. It runs 15.1 miles from McHenry, MD through Friendsville to the Mason Dixon line in Asher Glade. Friendsville Road continues into Markleysburg, PA. I often travel past this spot between Friendsville, MD and Markleysburg, PA on Route 42. This route has breathtaking scenery particularly in the Fall. There is good parking close to the cache.

Beware of wildlife along the road, particularly at dusk.
