Geocache Description:

The area now known as Tullamore was first called Bullock Creek in 1870, then Gobondery and in 1895 it became Tullamore.
George Tully, who came from Tullamore in Ireland, built a hotel and called it “Tullie’s Exchange Hotel” and pressed the point that the town be named Tullamore. He succeeded and the town was called Tullamore ever since.
Information obtained form the book “The Way It Used To Be” A History of Tullamore by Ronald (Ducky) Clemens.
So WELCOME to Tullamore.

WARNING When parking at this one please note the the sholder along the side of the road drops off quick. A wheat truck pulled over up the road a bit early 2011 not aware of this and rolled over free wheat for all, chooks loved it but the farmer didn't. Another reason for this cache is to slow drivers heading into town from the north. Just up the road is a sweeping left hand bend with a side road that is blind spotted by the bend. Please be careful no one pulls out in frount of you.
