Geocache Description:

Easy two-stage multicache in a new (or newly-renovated) city park.

Newer Note: It's an ammo can again!

Note: despite the name, this is temporarily NOT an Ammo Can. It's is a lock-n-lock.

Stage one is next to parking. You'll need to read some numbers off the sign here and use those numbers to figure the final. The numbers on the sign are in the format "AB - CD".

E = C + D
F = B - C

The ammo box is located at:

N 32° B7.FBA W 097° CA.CE0

It's anchored to a shrub with one of those white plastic chains. please be sure as much of the chain as possible is beneath the box when you replace it.

I lost a compass out of the end of my stick while hiding this cache. If you find it, drop it in the cache and mention it in your log. Thanks!!!

"Fort Worth has 228 public parks for a total of 10,743.75 acres of which 9,824.73 acres are developed for active use. Of the 190 active parks, 130 parks were classified as Neighborhood Parks with a total of 1,570.38 acres. The average size is 12.08 acres. The remaining acreage is held in reserve until population growth warrants development." --Fort Worth Parks website

Mallard Cove Park has its official entrance at 375 Shadow Grass Avenue, Fort Worth, but there's another entrance down Trinity Court off Randol Mill. On the map, it appears that the park goes all the way to the river, but there's a barbed wire fence between the park and the river, so best not to approach from the water.

The park has a new concrete trail with benches, a gazebo-like structure with picnic tables, and lots of really old pecan trees and lots of mesquite trees.

This cache is a .30 caliber ammo box with a few goodies. Watch out for thorns when retrieving.

Congratulations to mseeley and raylenemo for FTF!
