On the southwestern slope of Oughtmama Hill you will find the
Tobar Colman. It is dedicated to St Colman mac Duagh (550-632) and
is said to be the well where he was baptized. He lived as a recluse
in a cave in the Burren and later founded the monastery of
Kilmacduagh. The well is said to have healing properties,
especially for poor eyesight.
